Artist and Art Technician working in East London, Walthamstow.

I am an Artist and Art Technician working in East London, Walthamstow.
I work in oils on canvas, board or paper.
At the moment I am engaged in painting, either from life or photographs or sketches, I have painted and made art in other ways in the past, not necessarily painting. 

I have a Fine Art Degree from Cumbria College of Art and Design, now Cumbria University. I did not study painting at Cumbria although prior to university this was my main goal and focus, I believed that painting or sculpture would be where I ended up. Cumbria led me in all sorts of art directions and I ended up making Drawings, 21 drawings 8x4ft in size creating an art installation. 
I was the only student from my year at Cumbria to be selected for Northern Graduates in 2001 along with a handful of other students from university’s in the Northern of England, the exhibition was held at The New Academy and Curwen galleries in Fitzrovia, London. It was a fantastic opportunity and spurred me on for many years to seek out galleries for my art and to make work. I’ve kept art studios, shared spaces, held a Fellowship at The Digswell Arts Trust, I’ve been employed, unemployed, self-employed, done freelance work and been an Associate freelance art technician, been involved in voluntary work, hobbies, community projects as well as activism. 
At the moment I’m making paintings at home, my artwork is gaining pace and I’m trying to keep up!
